Panic! on the Disco is a pop rock/electronica band established out of Las Vegas, Nevada. The band is comprised of Brendon Urie (vocals, guitar, keyboard) and his early life chum, Spencer Smiths (drums), which include their schoolmate, Ryan Ross (guitar, keyboard, backing vocals).
To advertise their track, the band made contact with Pete Wentz (of Fall Out Boy) as a result of his LiveJournal webpage. Impressed by the band, Wentz in my view met with the band and signed them to his imprint label Decaydance. Under the label, the band published their debut album, A Fever You Cant Sweat Out, which could debut at #112 on the Billboard 2 hundred album charts.
Featured in Spin mag as their band of the day in early October 2005, reaching #1 on the MySpace chart, and regularly staying in PureVolumes Top 10 chart, would best assist develop the bands recognition. An appearance on MTVs TRL on January 17, 2006, on the most suitable of their song video for I Write Sins Not Tragedies, also helped garner the band a whole lot exposure.
To date, the bands 2005 debut album, A Fever you Cant Sweat Out has offered over 750,000 instruments. The band is at present headlining a North American summer season travel with The Dresden Dolls and k-biz The Hush Sound, a band also signed to Decaydance.
